The Radeon HD 2900 XT is the first AMD vga compatible with DirectX10, the main advantages are:
- stream output support;
- geometry shaders support;
- supports more efficient geometry instancing;
- overhead reduction on CPU, with reduction of traffic between GPU and CPU.
Some screens by AMD evidences these vantages, with a great graphic quality, even if the frame rate is even inferior to the rival's one. We used official drivers version 8.37.4.2 but where sure that their development, above all for Windows Vista, will take to an increase of performances.
