Alimentation

The card is credited of a power consume of about 225W at default (no overclock), AMD suggest a PSU of almost 500W with 2 12V connectors per vga.
Depending how the vga will be used, changes the kind of cable to use:

  • One 6 pins connector (2x3): the vga doesn't turn on;
  • One 8 pins connector (2x4): the vga works, but screens a message that says that the overdrive is;
  • Two 6 pins connectors (2x3): the cards works only at default;
  • One 6 pins connector and one 8 pins together: overdrive is working;

The system automatically recognizes the kind of cable used, and behaves consequentially.
For crossfire use, the minimum power supply required is of 750W.
For direct experience, we advise to use a good quality PSU.
