Benchmark Windows Vista

Decidedly disappointing the performances under Windows Vista, in the same conditions the test are resulted slower and not satisfying. This is true also for Nvidia cards, and it’s not a problem due to the single constructive technology.
If we exclude form graphic the part about the test under Vista this is more obvious:

Although the good results in the graphic benchmarks, the actual drivers are not optimized and can surely do better. In these days we tried different versions of the drivers and every time the performance were better than the preceding ones, sign that ATI is still working to improve the graphic software.
This is obvious with games, where the situation is decidedly to advantage of 8800GTS, at least with the actual 8.37 drivers
